Few hours from now, we're going to say goodbye to 2005 and hello to 2006.
After blogging about my favorite old tv shows, I lost interest in starting with my next topic (which I have been thinking of for days now...) about my favorite songs, old and new. Why? Because I'm Yes! Have you ever experienced trusting, loving and caring for someone so much that you'd do anything and everything for that person? And then of course, you think you're cool but later you feel that the other person is out of reach!! My friends always tell me, maybe she's busy...Yeah right! Busy with what? Huh? Busy chatting online?? But could not chat with me any longer than 5 minutes because someone's on the door or that someone's on the phone? or busy blogging somewhere but could not drop a line or two in my blog? And then again, my friends would tell me, why not text or call her? Duh?? How I wish I knew the digits! (which of course i believe she did not give me on purpose)Send her some e-mails...Fuck! Like I have sent her a gazillion e-mails already!Maybe...Damn! Enough of those! Thanks for trying to console me but hell! It's obvious... I don't exist in her world now! Yeah, maybe she's sooooo happy with her life now (is she really??) and she doesn't need me anymore! It may take some time for me to find closure and finally move on. But I swear I will do my very best...
as promised...here's a continuation of the list of my favorite shows from the past... what a lovely dog! i have always wanted to have a collie as cool as Lassie. Over her more than fifty years history, Lassie stories have moved across books, film, television, comic books, and other forms of popular culture. Did you know that Rin Tin Tin is the only dog in Los Angeles listed in the directory? Oh yeah! That's for real. And just like Lassie, Rin Tin Tin is known to many generations... Benji was the second animal ever to be inducted into the Animal Actors Hall of Fame (Lassie was first). Benji, the concept that a dog could express emotion so well on screen that dialog would not be needed. Whew! Another amazing pawed friend! This show focuses on the everyday adventures of an upper-middle-class black family, the series revived a television genre and sparked controversy about race and class in America. A typical week's plot (that's 30 minutes a week) involved Kevin (Fred Savage) facing some rite of passage on the way to adulthood. His first kiss, fleeting summer love and first day at high school were just few of the things that showed Kevin's struggle toward maturity. A lot of us do the same--we want to grow old faster but once we do, we would like to be young again... Whoa! Those who enjoyed Aaron Spelling's shows surely knows Brenda, Brandon, Donna, Steve, Kelly, Dylan and David. My favorite couple? Kelly and Dylan! *wink* Doogie Howser (Neil Patrick Harris), MD told the story of child prodigy Douglas Howser, who notched up perfect grades when he was six, breezed through high school in nine weeks and achieved a medical school degree when 14. Do you still remember his best friend's name? I do, it's Vinnie... hehehe! Another Aaron Spelling baby! Yeah, Alison, Amanda, Jane, Brooke, Jo, Sydney, Kimberly, Matthew, Billy, Michael, and Peter. My favorite dysfunctional gang (with all those bed-hopping and bitchy fighting!) Lolz! Hmmmm.... 10 years of Phoebe, Joey, Rachel, Ross, Monica and Chandler! I love this show! I really do! Now, I miss my friends... A great show about the lifeguards (yeah! the beautiful and handsome ones!) that patrol the beaches of sunny California.
i feel like going down the memory lane. i don't know but i suddenly felt the urge to write about some shows that i have loved in the past. okay, maybe until now... today, let me start with tv shows (not in particular order... i am writing them as i remember them...) Airwolf is a dramatic action- adventure series that tells the story of Stringfellow Hawke (Jan-Michael Vincent), idealist and reluctant hero, who struggles to survive national and, occasionally, international intrigue with the aid of the awesomely powerful weapon: Airwolf. A crack commando unit turned prisoners turned fugitives are no-ordinary soldiers of fortune. That's the A-Team. Who could forget Hannibal (the leader of the team... remember that old 'tobacco man'?), Howlin' Mad (the MAD pilot), B.A. (Mr.T with all those bling-blings!), and Faceman (the master of disguise)? This show focuses on the unlikely partnership of Crockett (Don Johnson), a Miami policeman and a single father taking care of his 6 year old son and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas), a police from NYC who went to Florida to seek vengeance for the death of his brother . They are in charge of busting drugs, prostitution, gambling and money laundering in Florida. Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck) was a former Naval Intelligence officer making his way as a private investigator in the civilian crossroads between Eastern and Western cultures. He lived in a guest house in Bel Air and drove a handsome red ferrari. Part of the success of this show was the hard-boiled action and the exotic locations! Do you still remember how Johnny Depp looked like? I very well do because of this show. 21 Jump Street is about a group of under-age looking cops who go undercover at high schools to catch young criminals before they become older, more dangerous criminals. In later seasons though, the show focused more on the personal lives of the cops. Using science and his wits, rather than violence, MacGyver(Richard Dean Anderson) could solve almost any problem. I have always wanted to be just like him. By the way, i always have loved the OST. In fact, I have a piano piece of the OST. Do you remember Larry and Balki? The funny cousins who lived in a Chicago apartment? Larry is panicky, hyperventilative, business-like and mercenary. Balki, on the other hand is placid, unhurried, sunny-natured and idealistic. Whew! They couldn't be more dissimilar! One of the reasons why I have always loved cars is because of KITT. Yeah, that high-performance sports car fitted with artificial intelligence driven by Michael Long (David Hasselhoff)!
The Birth of Jesus Now it happened in those days, that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled. This was the first enrollment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria. All went to enroll themselves, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David; to enroll himself with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him as wife, being pregnant. It happened, while they were there, that the day had come that she should give birth. She brought forth her firstborn son, and she wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn. The Shepherds and the Angels There were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock. Behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. The angel said to them, "Don't be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people. For there is born to you, this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough." Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God, and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men." It happened, when the angels went away from them into the sky, that the shepherds said one to another, "Let's go to Bethlehem, now, and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us." They came with haste, and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby was lying in the feeding trough. When they saw it, they publicized widely the saying which was spoken to them about this child. All who heard it wondered at the things which were spoken to them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, just as it was told them.
My idea of a perfect Christmas Is to spend it with you In a party Or dinner for two Anywhere would do Celebrating the yuletide season Always lights up our lives Simple pleasures are made special too When their shared with you Looking through some old photographs Faces of friends we'll always remember Watching busy shoppers rushing about In the cool breeze of December Sparkling lights, all over town Children's carols in the air By the Christmas tree A shower of stardust on your hair I cant think of a better Christmas Than my wish coming true And my wish is you'd let me spend my whole life with you My idea of a perfect Christmas is to spend it with you
