      my statistician is about to finish a portion of my dissertation!  i am more optimistic about being able to finish my dissertation this semester. a friend of mine also brought about such optimism. she told me that what matters is that i finish the manuscript and defend before sem break, and that "marching" this october should not be my priority. she's got a point, i realized. i can wait until march for the graduation thing. besides, after the final defense, i'm done with my PhD! now my goal is to finish the paper and have my pre-defense very soon and eventually have my final defense anytime before we have our sembreak. i just hope that my adviser would be more helpful. 
to my dear friend, bing (hhhmmm.... sounds like my name huh?)  for passing the board exams for physicians. i'm so happy for you!finally, a doctor (MD) in our batch!  ako kaya?? kelan magiging doctor (PhD)  sana matapos na rin ang aking paghihirap nang makapunta na ako sa aking pupuntahan. besides, my parents also have to leave for the US and for as long as di pa ako nakagraduate, di aalis yung mga yun.  still crossing my fingers
